Here you can find a short guide on how to configure WordPress Newsletter plugin for a dedicated email server.
As you purchase the service you'll receive an email providing you with the following informations:
- Webmail: https//example.serverkeliweb.it/mail/
- Admin Panel (iReadAdmin): https://esempio.serverkeliweb.com/iredadmin/
- Username: postmasterserverkeliweb.com
- Password: custom password
Make sure to put the "s" (secure) at the end of the http protocol related to the webmail address of your admin panel: https is the right prefix, not http.
Using the Newsletter plugin you can manage in full autonomy your mailing list/newsletter and you're be provided with the possibility to send attachments and use HTML/CSS preset templates. Before you start the configuration, create an email address for newsletter only.
For this operation login to your admin account and follow the following steps:
- Login to iRedAdmin admin panel address: https://example.serverkeliweb.it/ireadadmin/
- Type your username and password
- In the main menu click on "Add " and then select "User". Here create your new email address and fill in all the required fields as it follows:
Mail address: mailbox name
New password/Confirm password: type your password twice
Display name: type the name you want to display as sender
Mailbox quote: type the available disk space for mailbox - In the next window make sure to put a flag on "Enable this account" and click on "Save changes" to confirm.
- Download the plugin, install it in WordPress and login to your admin account typing your CMS username and password.
- Click on "Newsletter" in the menu and select "Configuration"
- Configure "Basic settings" fields for WordPress Newsletter plugin as it follows:
Sender email address: newsletter@serverkeliweb.com
Sender name: name you want to display as sender
Max emails per hour: maximum amount of emails in an hour
Return path: leave it empty
Reply to: newsletter@serverkeliweb.it
To use an external SMTP server skip to SMTP window and fill in the. fields as it follows:
Enable external SMTP: Yes
SMTP host/port: host example.serverkeliweb.com, port 25 or 587 (if you select TLS )
Authentication: password
Test email address: newsletter@serverkeliweb.it - Click on "Save" and then on "Test" to receive a confirmation email of SMTP configuration. In case of error check settings again.
