How to install a CMS using Softaculos

To install your CMS, for example WordPress as described down below, you have to follow a few steps.

1. Log-in to your cPanel and click on the Softaculos icon, in the "Software" section;

softaculous

2. Choose the software to install and click on the icon "WordPress" and then on "Install" ;

3. Select the configuration for installation.

The script installs, by default, the CMS in a sub-directory named, in the WordPress case,"wp". If you wish to keep this setting, WordPress will be installed in
http://mydomain.com/wp. If you wish to install WordPress in the main directory, you will have to clear the "wp" icon from the related box, as you can see below.

As you modify these settings, you are able to configure all the others (such as language, theme, auto-upgrade, etc.) and click on "Install" to start the process. The system requires your e-mail to receive all the final access data.

The installation takes a minute and you will be able to use your WordPress in a few clicks.
