What's the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?

WordPress is a CMS (Content Management System) which allows you to manage a website or blog easily, using an extremely easy-to-use interface to create articles or pages in a few clicks.
There are two versions of WordPress, WordPress.com and WordPress.org which are extremely different
.

WordPress.org is an open source software that you can download for free and install in your server to customize your website as you prefer. The software .org supports several types of themes and plugins, providing you with the possibility to create any kind of website from static website to ecommerce. To use WordPress.org you have to buy a domain and a hosting plan to use all the resources of the CMS at their best.

Once you've downloaded WordPress, you can upload it via FTP or File Manager from your hosting's cPanel manually or using Softaculous.

WordPress.com version is online and, unlike .org version, is not a software which can be customized or downloaded. If you choose to use the .com version, you'll have to manage your website straightly from WordPress online platform, without any domain or hosting plan.

This version has several limitations : you cannot use plugins, banners or Google Analytics to supervise statistics, to improve your SEO strategy.

We recommend the use of WordPress.org if you want to promote your business or project online professionally.

Keliweb provides you with a WordPress hosting solution which allows you to create and manage your CMS in the easiest way ever. You can also choose, as you purchase your order, to use the pre-installed version or install WordPress manually in full autonomy.
